September 14, 2018 at 9:34 am

Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, has asked that its annual budget be increased in order for it to face “the growing threats to Israel’s national security”, local media reported.

Israeli Channel 7 reported yesterdaythat the Mossad has asked to increase its budget by billions of dollars due to the increasing size of its operational activity.

According to the channel, over the coming weeks, the Israeli Ministry of Finance and Mossad will discuss the demand and agree on a new multi-year financial plan and improving staff conditions.

The Israeli army, Mossad and Shin Bet currently have a budget estimated at 72 billion shekels ($20 billion).
