Qatar’s Ambassador to the occupied Palestinian territories, Mohammad Al-Imadi, met with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on Friday night at the latter’s office in Gaza, Shehab has reported. The meeting took place after Al-Imadi had first gone to the occupied West Bank for a meeting with the Palestinian Authority, Fatah and PLO President Mahmoud Abbas.

The official Wafa news agency reported that Al-Imadi passed a verbal message from Qatar’s Emir Tamim Bin Hamad to Abbas, in which he expressed his support for the efforts being exerted to reach an agreement on national reconciliation.

Whilst in the Gaza Strip, Ambassador Al-Imadi is expected to take part in the inauguration ceremonies of several Qatar-funded projects in the coastal enclave.
