Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman yesterday openly incited against Palestinians living in Israel saying they constitute the main problem to Israel’s security.

“I do not care about the Palestinian state, what matters to me is the Jewish state,” Lieberman said, adding that 20 per cent of Israel’s population is Arab and they demonstrate carrying Palestinian flags not Israeli flag.

“This is the main problem. We have to worry about the Jewish state. The other things are less important. Israel’s interest is a Jewish and secure state,” he said.

Lieberman was to US President Donald Trump’s remarks in which he reiterated his support for a two-state solution.

Trump said during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday in New York that he believes an agreement between the two sides will be reached.

According to Trump, the majority of Israelis agree with the two-state solution, but no one wants to say so. Trump also said that he believes the two-state solution seems more reasonable than any other proposal.
