Iran grants 5-year residency to investors $250,000

The Iranian government has decided to grant five-year residency permits to foreigners who invest in the country with a minimum amount of $250,000.

Iran’s ISNA news agency said the Supreme Council of Economic Coordination agreed during a meeting in the capital Tehran to grant the 5-year residency to foreigners who invest in the country with at least $250,000.

In February 2016 the council approved a decision to three-year residency permits to foreigners who invest in the country with $250,000.

Iran aims with the decision to attract foreign investment amid the recent economic crisis.
