Almost 687 civilians were “arbitrary detained” in Syria during September, the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) revealed yesterday.

Syrian forces, loyal to President Bashar Al-Assad, arbitrarily arrested 402 people, including 22 children and 34 women last month, according to the SNHR official report.

Some 190 Syrians, SNHR pointed out, were arrested “without accountability”, including four children and six women in the Kurdish-held areas.

“Daesh detained 22 people in September, including two children, under the pretext of not following the group’s instructions or having ties with the Syrian opposition,” SNHR added.
