Jordan: 2,472 people were arrested on drug cases in September

According to a spokesman for the Directorate of Public Security, the efforts of the various people working in different departments of the Drug Control administration during the month of September this year resulted in the arrest of 2,472 people, 508 of whom were involved in 281 cases of trafficking, and 1964 people were involved in 1,550 drug use and possession cases.

The cases that were handed over to the prosecutor of the State Security Court last month reached 1831 in number.

The spokesperson added that the total number of seized various narcotic substances was about 23 kilos of cannabis material, both natural and industrial, and more than 404 thousand pills of the Captagon drugs and others, in addition to the seizure of 910 bags of Joker drug, and a variety of other types.
