As many as 206 Palestinian refugees including 20 women from the Yarmouk refugee camp are secretly being held in Syrian regime prisons, a rights group said.

The Action Group for Palestinians of Syria said that it has documented the death of 556 Palestinian refugees under torture in the Syrian regime prisons.

The group has urged the Syrian regime to disclose the fate of detained Palestinians.

In April, the UN warned that the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Syria had been “transformed into a death camp” as Assad regime forces launched a major offensive against Daesh fighters who controlled the area.
