Head of the legal unit at PPC, Jawad Poulos, told Ma’an that Israeli prosecutors have accused Al-Faqih of kidnapping two individuals holding Israeli IDs. Al-Faqih is believed to have interrogated the pair over suspicions that they purchased land and property in occupied Jerusalem.

Faqih denied all allegations against him, arguing he believes his arrest was carried out only for political reasons.
