Occupation forces demolish the home of Palestinian Saleh Fahidat leaving him and his family in East Jerusalem homeless on 29 October 2018

Israeli occupation forces yesterday demolished the home of Palestinian Saleh Fahidat in occupied Jerusalem, leaving him and his family homeless, Quds Press reported.

The house had been recently built in the Anata neighbourhood to the east of the occupied holy city and it was demolished under the pretext of lacking the necessary building licenses.

Fahidat said that staff from the city’s Israeli occupation municipality raided the house yesterday morning and forcefully evacuated its inhabitants without giving them notice of the planned demolition.

The family’s home, which is no more than 50 square metres in size, housed the family of five.

Fahidat said occupation forces had demolished his old home one month ago, that house had existed for over 80 years.
