Jointly hosted by MEMO, RISC, P21 and Keep Hope Alive Olive Campaign, over 130 people attended this celebration at the RISC,Global Cafe and World Shop in Reading, UK.
The cultural evening that included cookery demonstrations by MEMO’s Maha Salah, pop art exhibition by artist Mohammad Z Bassyouni and P21, videos highlighting Palestinian political and cultural resistance by Jehan Alfarra and a presentation about Keep Hope Alive Olive Campaign by Reading volunteers who have recently returned from the olive harvest in Bethlehem.
The night ended with Dabkah dance performed by local residence and volunteers in Reading.
