An Israeli Air Force reconnaissance plane was spotted near Crimea which has been annexed by Russia.

According to the site, a reconnaissance aircraft of the Israeli Air Force Gulfstream G550 Nachshon Aitam was spotted near the coast of Crimea on Monday at 15:40 Moscow time.

PlaneRadar monitoring site published on Twitter images of Flight 537 saying the airplane’s journey started from the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea and an hour later the plane reached the Russian border off the Black Sea coast, Russia’s Sputnik news agency reported.

An Israeli intelligence officer flew several laps around the Crimea, passed over the territory between Kerch and Taman, approached the peninsula from Lake Sivash side, then flew towards Armyansk along the Russian-Ukrainian border and left the Black Sea.

American intelligence has flown similar reconnaissance missions over the area.
