Turkish news channel Haber quoted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan saying yesterday that he would not meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman during a visit to Argentina for the G20 summit.

The G20 summit will begin in Argentina on 30 November and will continue until 1 December.

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump said he could meet the Saudi Crown Prince on the sidelines of the summit.

On Wednesday, the Russia announced that President Vladimir Putin may also meet with Bin Salman over the same period.

This comes at a time when Saudi Arabia faces a major crisis in the wake of the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at its consulate in Istanbul at the hands of security officials with close ties to the crown prince.

Last Friday, the Washington Post reported that the CIA had concluded that Mohammad Bin Salman personally ordered Khashoggi’s assassination. Accusations the kingdom denies.
