December 24, 2018 at 10:55 am

A senior delegation of Hamas MPs, headed by Mahmoud Al-Zahar, met with Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif yesterday in the ministry’s head office in Tehran.

In a message sent to MEMO, the members of the delegation, who have undertaken an international tour for a month, hailed Iran as a supporter of the Palestinian people at all international bodies.

The Palestinian delegation also praised the position of the Iranian foreign minister for his opposition to the American “Deal of the Century”, which condemns the Palestinian resistance.

According to the message, the Palestinian parliament stressed that the reception of the Iranian foreign ministry to its delegation “is considered a form of support which helps it encounter the conspiracies being plotted against it.”

Meanwhile, the Iranian foreign minister reiterated his country’s support for the Palestinian people, as well as its solidarity with them against the crimes committed by the “Zionist occupation”.

Zarif stressed that the Iranian efforts in support of the Palestinians at all international bodies and forums would not stop.
