UK condemns Israel settlers’ killing of Palestinian in West Bank

Minister of State for the Middle East Alistair Burt yesterday condemned a settler attack which left a Palestinian killed in the occupied West Bank.

On Twitter, Burt wrote: “I condemn yesterday’s violence in the West Bank in which a Palestinian man was killed.”

He added: “My thoughts are with his family.”

“Those responsible must be brought to justice,” he added.

A group of Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian workers as they were making their way home n Al-Mughayar Village near the West Bank city of Ramallah on Saturday evening.

Thirty-eight-year-old father of four Hamdi Taleb Na’asan was killed in the attack, while six others were wounded.

On Saturday, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nickolay Mladenov condemned the “violence” saying his thoughts are with the family of the Palestinian victim.

“Today’s violence in #AlMughayer is shocking & unacceptable! #Israel must put an end to settler violence & bring those responsible to justice,” he wrote on his Twitter.

He added: “My thoughts & prayers go out to the family of the #Palestinian man killed & those injured. All must condemn violence, stand up to terror.”
