Lebanese Foreign Minister, Gebran Bassil said the US anticipated Middle East Peace Initiative is known as “deal of the century” “will be born dead” and “will not survive”.

Speaking to a local TV channel on Tuesday night, Bassil said “we want to have a strong state like the United States as a true sponsor of peace, and to have integrated roles with Russia and the European Union to resolve the conflict between Israel and the Arab states, in accordance with the rights that Israel must return to Palestine”.

The “deal of the century” refers to the US President, Donald Trump proposal to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict which would force the Palestinians to make unfair concessions to Israel, including settling the Palestinian refugees outside their occupied country and abolishing their right to return to their homes.
