Ninety Palestinian prisoners held at section 3 of the Negev prison, in southern Israel, spent their night handcuffed to their beds, Ma’an News has reported.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) reported that prisoners of the section were not provided with bed covers or any other belongings.

PPS added that the Israeli Prison Services (IPS) demanded prisoners to pledge that they would not set their bed covers on fire as a form of protest if allowed in.

Israeli suppression forces have been carrying out raids suppressing prisoners at the Negev prison since February 19th, after prisoners protested against the IPS installing jamming devices around sections of the prison.

Hundreds of Palestinian prisoners were assaulted and injured by Israeli prison guards on Sunday night. Israeli guards used bullets, stun grenades and tear-gas bombs to suppress prisoners.
