The Palestinian Ministry of Endowment in Gaza yesterday condemned the Israeli strikes which caused the destruction of the Omar Bin Abdul-Aziz mosque in the north of the besieged enclave.

In a statement, the ministry said the mosque was almost completely destroyed.

“Israeli strikes on mosques are an Israeli crime which is added to the criminal record of the Israeli occupation,” the statement said, stressing that such strikes are a flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions.

The ministry called for the international community and human rights bodies in the region and the world to help stop the Israeli aggression and hold officials accountability for their crimes and bringing them before International Criminal Court.
