Israel forces kill Palestinian medic in West Bank

Israeli occupation forces yesterday shot and killed a Palestinian medical volunteer during in the occupied West Bank refugee camp of Al-Dheisheh, Quds Press reported.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of 19-year-old volunteer Sajed Mizher several hours after he was shot in the stomach by Israeli occupation forces.

Sources told Quds Press that Mizher, who was volunteering with the Palestinian Medical Association in the Arab Association Hospital, was taken to hospital for surgery after he was hit.

Head of the Palestinian Medical Association Mustafa Al-Barghouti said Mizher was shot while he was helping the wounded in the refugee camp.

Occupation forces had stormed the camp and the university within it. Three Palestinians were injured during the raid.

The Israeli occupation forces, Quds Press reported, took positions on top of the roofs of Palestinian buildings and showered the Palestinian demonstrators with live bullets and tear gas.

The news site reported that occupation detained four Palestinians, including one who is being held until his brother hands himself in to an Israeli detention centre.

Occupation forces said that overnight they detained 11 Palestinians in the West Bank.
