Hamas: Israel going against agreements on Gaza

March 29, 2019 at 12:36 pm

Israel refuses to abide by the understanding reached through Egypt regarding lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip, Hamas member Hossam Badran said.

In an interview with Khaleej Online, Badran said Israel wants to maintain the current “no deal” situation in the Gaza Strip to buy time ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for 9 April.

He warned the Israeli residents of the Gaza envelope that the stability of their areas depends on the Israeli government’s commitment to understandings regarding lifting the Gaza Strip siege and responding to the Palestinian people’s demands.

Earlier, Israeli media reported that an Egyptian security delegation is currently visiting the Gaza Strip to convey an Israeli proposal that includes a package of measures which would ease the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip in return for stopping the Great March of Return.
