The relationship between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is strategic, historical and a unique and unprecedented example of cooperation which should exist among all Arab states, spokesman for the Egyptian parliament Salah Hasaballah said yesterday.

According to Youm 7 news website, Hasaballah also said that if all Arab states achieved joint cooperation like that which exists between Egypt and the UAE, they would achieve unity.

He stressed that unity and full cooperation among Arab states would guarantee the removal of those dangers facing them, on top of which is terrorism and the ongoing crises in Syria, Libya and Yemen.

Meanwhile, Hasaballah also hailed the discussions which took place between Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi and the Emirati Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayid Al-Nahyan, which took place in the Egyptian city of Alexandria.

He also hailed the signing of common cooperation deals between Egypt and the UAE in different fields, including trade, irrigation, industry and housing. He stressed that these deals have both political and economic goals.
