For the third time, settlers this morning locked shut a mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
According to eyewitnesses, the official responsible for opening and closing the mosque was surprised by the presence of an adhesive on the door to the Sheikh Makki Mosque in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem. Nails had also been used to lock the door shut.
Witnesses added that the settlers attacked the mosque twice last month by placing adhesive material on its door in an attempt to keep it closed during prayer times. The mosque is normally open at noon and closes again after evening prayers.
The mosque is located need the Old City’s Herod’s Gate which has illegal settlements located nearby.
