Minor, woman among 15 Palestinians detained by Israeli forces

Israeli forces detained at least 15 Palestinians, including a minor and prisoners, during predawn raids across the occupied West Bank, on Thursday.

Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS) confirmed that Israeli forces detained one Palestinian in the southern West Bank district of Hebron. He was identified as Omar Yahya Basel.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, three Palestinians were detained.

They were identified as Yousef Muhammad Taqatqa, and two formers prisoners, identified as Jamil al-Daraawi and Muhammad Mousa al-Asas.At the al-Zaayim checkpoint, in the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, a 19-year-old Palestinian woman was detained by Israeli forces and identified as Nahil Abbas Buwaqne.

In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, four Palestinians were detained. PPS identified them as former prisoners, Muhammad Ahmad Ubeid, 23, Ahmad Yousef Kharoub, in addition to Omar Hussein, 22, and Ayman Jumaa Badran, 16.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, another two Palestinians were detained. They were identified as Islam Abed al-Ghani Abu al-Hija and Fadi Mahyub Khalifa.In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, Israeli forces detained three Palestinians.

PPS identified them as former prisoner, Bakr Jamal Mansour, Ahmad al-Sarkaji, and Abdullah al-Mashaati.In the northern West Bank district of Salfit, PPS said two were detained and identified as Maher Zahir Samara and Muhammad Mahmoud Radad.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,450 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, including 48 female prisoners, and 205 minors, 32 of whom under 16 years old.
