The Syrian regime forces yesterday stormed the town of Kfar Nabudah , the main opposition stronghold in the northern Hama countryside.

“The Syrian army forces began to storm the town of Kfar Nabudah in the north-western Hama countryside after gun battles and artillery fire launched last night against militants’ positions,” a field commander fighting with the Syrian government forces told the German Press Agency (DPA).

Meanwhile, a military commander of the National Front for Liberation confirmed the entry of the Syrian government forces and groups loyal to them into the town of Kfar Nabudah, adding that fierce battles are taking place between the regime forces and opposition groups.

The Syrian government forces on Tuesday gained control of the village of Al-Janabrah and Tal Othman after fierce fighting.
