Egypt suspends flights with Sudan over coronavirus concerns

On Friday Cairo announced the suspension of flights to and from Khartoum following a decision taken by the Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority, Arabi21.com reported.

EgyptAir announced in a statement: “The decision came after Sudan decided to suspend all flights with Egypt.”

On Thursday, the director-general of the Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority, Ibrahim Adlan, announced the suspension of all flights, until further notice, to and from several countries including Egypt, over fears of the coronavirus.

The Sudanese government also announced the suspension of bus trips to Egypt.

Meanwhile, on Thursday the Egyptian Education Ministry announced the suspension of education at all schools, universities and institutes, and affirmed that all institutions would be ready for work the following day.
