Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that 5,639 Israeli soldiers are currently in quarantine for fears they might have the coronavirus.

Ten soldiers are already confirmed to have contracted the virus and are being treated.

According to the Ministry of Health’s policy, “people who return to Israel from anywhere in the world must be placed under home isolation for 14 days counting from their date of return.”

Last week the Israeli army instructed all soldiers to return to their barracks and remain there for at least one month to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.

To date, 433 soldiers have been infected by the new pandemic.
