Migrants who lost their wedding rings after their boat capsized in the Mediterranean Sea en route to Europe last month have been reunited with their possessions, the BBC reported.

A migrant rescue team found the two wedding rings in a rucksack which was floating in a half-sunken migrant boat. They were engraved with the names Ahmed and Doudou.

After sharing images of the bands, Open Arms Italy located the owners in Algeria. The couple lived in war-torn Libya before embarking on the dangerous journey to Europe.
