Jordan appoints new director to king’s office

Jordan yesterday appointed Jafar Hassan as director of the Office of King Abdullah II.

Royal Decrees also announced that the resignation of Haifa Khraisha from her position as Adviser to His Majesty for Policies had been accepted.

Kemal Al Nasser’s resignation from his position as adviser to the king was also accepted.

While a final decree also accepted the resignation of Zeina Toukan from her position as adviser for Economic Affairs at the Royal Hashemite Court.

Jordan recently foiled an attempt to destablise the country which saw the king’s half brother Prince Hamzah and former head of the royal court Bassem Awadallah allegedly working against the monarch.
