Yesterday morning Israeli occupation forces stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and attacked Palestinian worshippers with rubber-coated steel bullets, stun grenades and tear gas, injuring more than 305 Palestinians.

“We call for an Intifada, in response to the cries and calls of our vulnerable people in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and we urge all Palestinians to support Jerusalemites and to stand up to the enemy at all points of contact and confrontation,” the movement said in a statement, urging the residents of Jerusalem to “resist the Zionist aggression, and to continue steadfastness in Al-Aqsa Mosque, in order to thwart the enemy’s plans.”

“The Zionist enemy would not have persisted in its terror and aggression had it not been for the silence of the [Arab] normalising regimes,” it said, denouncing the “suspicious silence” of international organisations, regarding what is happening in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Occupation forces and extremist Jewish settlers have escalated their aggression against Muslims and Christian’s in Jerusalem including at Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Church of Holy Sepulchre and Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood, injuring hundreds of unarmed Palestinians.
