Palestinian youth in Jerusalem said yesterday that silence is no longer a choice in the face of the continuous Israeli aggression on the holy city.

This comes as Israeli occupation forces continued their brutal attack and assault on Palestinian worshippers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and around the holy during the last few days of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that hundreds of Palestinians were wounded in the Israeli attacks on Jerusalem and its neighbourhoods, mainly inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, with more than 50 admitted to hospital.

Adnan, 20, told AFP: “We are standing here in the streets to say: we will never leave [our homes].”

“The settlers have been attacking us for years and they have been taking our land and everything. So that, silence is no longer a choice.”
