Haifa Magistrates Court has confined member of the political bureau of the National Democratic Assembly Murad Haddad and member of Shfaram Municipality Zuhair Karkabi to house arrest for five days under many restrictions, Arab48.com reported on Sunday.

Arab48.com’s reporter disclosed that activist Suhair Badarneh had been released from prison, while activist Jameel Safouri was released from prison and expelled from Shfaram.

Many political activists have been arrested by the Israeli occupation authorities for their actions against Jewish racism and police violence in their cities in Israel.

During the court’s hearing, hundreds of Arabs staged a protest in front of the court in support of Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Gaza Strip.

Protesters chanted slogans of support and called for the immediate release of the prisoners.
