A Palestinian journalist who worked for a local radio station was killed early this morning in an Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip

A Palestinian journalist who worked for a local radio station was killed early this morning in an Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip.

Yousef Abu Hussein lost his life after Israeli air strikes hit his home in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood north of Gaza City, the Voice of Jerusalem radio station where Abu Hussein worked said in a statement.

At least 219 Palestinians have been killed, including 63 children and 36 women, in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since 10 May, the Health Ministry said today.

A ministry statement said 1,530 people have also been injured in the onslaught. Twelve Israelis have also been killed.
