Hamas leaders and their families have not left the besieged enclave for refuge in Egypt amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, Interior Ministry spokesperson, Iyad Al-Bozum, said on Tuesday.

“We categorically deny Al-Arabiya TV channel’s malicious rumours against our steadfast Palestinian people and their brave resistance, including allegations that a number of resistance factions’ leaders and their families have left to Egypt in light of the Israeli aggression on Gaza,” Al-Bozum said in a statement.

“We confirm that the Al-Arabiya channel was and is still playing a suspicious role, operating according to an agenda that intersects with the Israeli occupation’s agenda and its intelligence services in targeting our people and their resistance,” he added.

Al-Bozum called on all journalists and media institutions operating in Gaza to abide by their decision not to deal with the channel in any way.

He also called on personalities, writers and analysts to boycott the channel and not to deal with it or appear on it as a result of its suspicious role in “offending our people and trying to harm their steadfastness and struggle against the occupation”.
