Leah Goldin, mother of an Israeli prisoner of war held in Gaza, Hadar Goldin, has severely criticised the heads of the Israeli army and called for the assassination of Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Al-Sinwar, Sama news agency reported yesterday.

According to local media, Goldin criticised army chiefs because they could not return her son’s body from Gaza, adding that the ongoing indirect talks between the occupation state and the Palestinian resistance factions to stabilize a ceasefire is “shameful”.

Israel’s military and political figures have not given her any information about the indirect talks, noting that the family has been forced to get information by itself.

Leah said she had met with Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi prior to his travel to Egypt to meet with officials there, but she could not get any information.

She went on to call for the assassination of Hamas leader in Gaza Yahya Al Sinwar, blaming him for the death of her son.

Israeli reports said that a senior Israeli delegation is planning to visit Cairo next week to discuss a prisoner swap which would see the return of four prisoners of war thought to be held by Hamas in Gaza following Israel’s brutal 2014 air strikes campaign against the besieged enclave.
