Ziad Al-Nakhaleh, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement

Secretary-General of Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, Ziyad Al-Nakhalah, said yesterday that the ongoing political battle is “fiercer” than the military battle fought in the Gaza Strip, Sama news agency reported.

During an event held in memory of late Islamic Jihad leader Ramadan Shallah, Al-Nakhalah said: “All Palestinian resistance forces have to rearrange their positions and agree on a united vision in order to maintain the meaning of their victory achieved in the Sword of Jerusalem battle.”

He added: “Attempts to contain the gains achieved through the Sword of Jerusalem have not stopped. We have to be cautious and ready to deal with all possible threats.”

Al-Nakhalah said that the battle “opened huge horizons before the ambitions of the Palestinians regarding freedom, liberation and return to their land. We have to maintain these achievements.”

“Islamic Jihad after the Sword of Jerusalem battle is not the same as it was before. Its participation in the battle proved that it had never left its political and military positions.”
