Supermodel Bella Hadid has slammed newly-elected Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett for callously boasting that he had taken many Arabs without regret.

The controversial remarks date back to 2013 during a cabinet discussion about the release of Palestinian prisoners, Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported at the time.

According to the paper, Bennett said: “If you capture terrorists, you simply have to kill them.”

According to the report, National Security Adviser Yaakov Amidror told him that this is illegal, to which Bennett responded: “I already killed lots of Arabs in my life, and there is absolutely no problem with that.”

Hadid, whose father is Palestinian, commented described Bennett’s remarks as “almost unbelievable. Just sad honestly. Just plain sad.”

She went on to describe Gaza as an “open air prison”, and questioned why US President Joe Biden remains silent while Israeli abuses of Palestinians continue.

“When and where have you seen something this vile and not condemned it? How is our president not speaking of these crimes?”

Hadid has come under attack in recent week following her vocal support for Palestinian rights, with the World Values Network taking out a full page advert in the New York Times to slam her, saying she has “vilified the Jewish state” and “accused Israel of ethnic cleansing.”
