Israeli forces on Saturday, June 19, battered Palestinians who wanted to protest the extreme right-wing Jews insulting the Prophet Muhammad, reports Anadolu Agency.
Palestinians wanted to gather at the Damascus Gate of the Old City in the occupied East Jerusalem to protest the insults to the Prophet Muhammad during the provocative actions of far-right Jews.
Israeli forces attacked the protesters with nightsticks, stun grenades, and water cannon.
The forces also detained some demonstrators, including two women.
On June 15, Far-right Jews held a "Flag March" at the Damascus Gate with the support of the Israeli police.
The group insulted the Prophet Muhammad during the demonstration and chanted slogans by saying: "Death to Arabs".
