Around 175,000 Russia tourists arrive in Turkey’s Antalya in 8 days

Between 1 and 8 July, 644 flights from Russia have landed in the Turkish city of Antalya carrying 174,808 Russian tourists, Anadolu Agency reported on Friday.

Since the start of the year, more than two million tourists have arrived in Antalya, according to Fraport TAV Antalya Airport General Manager Deniz Varol.

Between 1 and 8 July of last year, the governorate hosted only 31,428 tourists.

Antalya is considered one of the most attractive places for tourists globally thanks to its warm sea, golden sand and stunning nature, and its rich culture and history.

The authorities provide exceptional services for the tourists visiting the area, including tens of resorts and attractions.

Varol also highlighted that Turkey’s safe tourism certificate programme implemented at airports and accommodation facilities had been appreciated by domestic and foreign tourists.
