Hamas: ‘Abbas does not represent Palestine’

Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas does not represent the Palestinians, member of Hamas’s Political Bureau Dr Mahmoud Al-Zahar announced on Sunday.

“Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) does not represent the Palestinian people or anything related to them,” Al-Zahar told Al Watan Voice.

“He also does not represent Palestinian politics, economy or security,” Al-Zahar stressed, pointing out that Abu Mazen’s political programme does not benefit the Palestinians.

“The political programme for Abbas is opposed to the Palestinian interests in the occupied West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and the diaspora.”

Al-Zahar advised Abbas to let Palestinians choose their representatives through free and transparent elections.
