Israeli fighters have carried out several airstrikes in multiple places on Friday night in the north of the Gaza Strip, Palestinian security sources have reported.

The Israeli bombing targetted a hill in the northern Gazan city of Jabalia, known as the Civil Administration site, where the Palestinian resistance has a military base.

Palestinian sources reported that three Palestinian homes were affected by the Israeli attacks; one was directly hit by large shrapnel.

Medical sources have confirmed that there were no casualties.

In a statement published by Israeli media, the Israeli army announced that it struck a camp and a rocket-launching position in the strip belonging to Hamas, adding that it would: “Continue to respond with strikes to terror attempts from Gaza.”

This came following Israeli claims of four fires caused by incendiary balloons flown from Gaza.

Three fires were reported in the Kissufim forest, and another one in the Be’eri forest, Israeli media reported.

Gazan youths, who fired the balloons from Gaza, have declared in a statement that they will continue harassing the Israeli occupation until it lifts the 15-year-long siege imposed on Gaza that paralyses all forms of life in the coastal enclave.
