Greece: 15 Pakistan migrants injured in racist attack

Fifteen Pakistani migrants have been injured on Friday in a racially-motivated attack on the Greek island of Crete.

According to Greek media, a group of ten people armed with weapons and sticks attacked two houses in which 15 Pakistani immigrants lived.

According to the reports, the attackers beat the migrants, fired live ammunition in the air, broke appliances in the two houses and stole valuables before fleeing.

The reports explained that the attack resulted in injuries of the 15 migrants. Two of the migrants suffered serious wounds and are in critical condition, and were rushed to hospitals and medical centres in the area.

The reports added that the police launched an investigation into the attack and are currently trying to identify the attackers through surveillance cameras in the areas near the assault scene.
