Israel has secretly sold military equipment to Morocco, an Israeli military and security export specialist announced yesterday.

Haaretz quoted Jonathan Hempel as saying that the Israeli military exports to Morocco had “remained operating discretely over the past years.”

“Through a third party, Israel supplied Morocco with military communication equipment and control devices, including detection and tracking devices in warplanes,” Hempel said.

In 2020, the Moroccan air force received three Israeli Heron drones, at a total cost of $50 million.

Several Moroccan media outlets recently reported that the kingdom would start manufacturing drones in cooperation with Israel.
