Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz's to Morocco, and the signing of military agreements "targets Algeria", local media outlets reported Speaker of the Algerian Council of the Nation (Upper House), Saleh Goudjil, said yesterday.
"The enemies are recruiting more and more to obstruct Algeria's path, and today matters have become clear when we see the defence minister of the Zionist entity visiting a neighbouring country after the foreign minister of this entity visited it earlier and threatened Algeria from Morocco and there was no reaction from the Moroccan government," Goudjil said.
The Algerian official said if the Israeli minister of tourism or economy had visited Morocco, it could be interpreted as within the framework of already-established relations. However, he noted that when the Israeli defence minister visits Morocco, Algeria is the "target".
Gantz yesterday concluded a three-day visit to Morocco, during which he signed deals for cooperation in the fields of intelligence, defence industries, cybersecurity and joint training.
