US Ambassador to Ankara Jeffry Flake yesterday said that Turkiye is an “indispensable NATO ally and partner in an ever-changeable region,” Anadolu reported.

His remarks came in an article posted on the website of the US embassy in Ankara as he reiterated the importance of united US-Turkish efforts to face off threats that undermine global peace and safety in a way that preserves the interests of the two countries.

Flake, who presented his credentials to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday, also said that the interests of the two countries exceed the political and security matters, noting that the US and Turkiye benefit from economic partnerships based on balanced trade, investment, innovation and cooperation.

Turkiye, he added, currently hosts 2,000 American companies, while Turkiye became the second largest market for US exports in 2021.
