Iran: militia member killed, 3 wounded in gun attack

The authorities in Iran have announced that a member of the Basij paramilitary force affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been killed in a drive-by shooting in the city of Nurabad. Three others were wounded in the attack.

Ismail Ghazal Safli, the Deputy Governor of Fars Province, said on Sunday that two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle opened fire on Basij forces in the city.

According to the official Iranian news agency, IRNA, the attackers fled the scene after carrying out the attack. No information has been released about their possible identity.
