Lebanese Druze leader calls on Israeli Druze not to take part in war

Lebanese Druze leader Walid Jumblatt has urged Israeli Druze citizens and conscripts not to participate in hostilities in the occupied Palestinian territories, Anadolu news agency reported.

In a statement on X, formerly Twitter, Jumblatt asked Druze Arabs not to take part in Israel’s attack on Gaza.

“The march of history, no matter how long it takes, goes hand in hand with the freedom of peoples, and the day will come when Palestine and its sanctities will return to their Arab owners,” he said.

On Saturday, Jumblatt issued statements in support of the operation launched by the Palestinian resistance against Israel which took the occupation by surprise and led to towns around Gaza being emptied of their inhabitants.
