Israel bombs Nuseirat commercial district in 'safe zone' in Gaza

MEMO's Mohammed Asad checks the aftermath of Israel's bombardment which struck a commercial district in the Nuseirat refugee camp just south of Gaza City. Last night, Israeli air strikes caused severe damage to shops, restaurants, and bazaars. Targeting businesses in the Strip will further cripple the already dire economic situation and affect residents and those displaced from the north of Gaza who rely on these businesses for supplies. Israeli authorities previously urged residents of northern Gaza to move south, making Nuseirat one of the so-called 'safe zones'.
