Palestinian resistance confronts Israeli occupation forces in West Bank

Israeli occupation army forces were under fire during their incursions in several cities in the occupied West Bank at dawn this morning. According to reports by Al-Aqsa Channel on Telegram, “gunfire was opened up on the Israeli occupation forces during their storming of Nablus, Tulkarm and Jenin.” No further details were provided.

“Israeli army forces were targeted with a home-made explosive device during their incursion in Tulkarm,” added the channel. “Fighting broke out between resistance fighters and the Israeli occupation forces in the city.”

It quoted a statement issued by the Tulkarm Rapid Response Battalion: “Our fighters managed to target the occupation forces in several areas in the city of Tulkarm with heavy gunfire, as part of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.”

Late on Sunday night, Israeli army forces entered Jericho from the north and Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, south of the city. Six Palestinians were arrested in the camp, according to local sources quoted by the Palestinian Wafa news agency. According to the same sources, the occupation forces are still storming the camp at the time of writing, accompanied by an armoured bulldozer.

Israeli forces also arrested at least 11 Palestinians from the town of Bani Naim, south of Hebron, after raiding and searching their homes, according to local sources in the occupied West Bank city. Eleven other Palestinians were arrested in Beit Rima, north-west of Ramallah.

The arrests follow two marches in Ramallah and the Jalazoun refugee camp at dawn on Monday. Protesters denounced the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.

The West Bank is witnessing a wave of field confrontations between Palestinians and the Israeli army, coinciding with the continuation of Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip.
