UFC champion, Islam Makhachev: 'Stand with Palestine'

UFC champion Islam Makhachev uses his win against Alexander Volkanovski to speak out for Palestinians, saying he couldn't celebrate his victory in light of what’s been unfolding in Gaza. ‘Palestine, we stand with you,’ he stated. Many sports stars have voiced solidarity with Palestine as Israel continues it's bombing campaign across the besieged Strip. Since 7 October 2023, the death toll in Gaza has risen to more than 4,600, the majority of whom have been women and children.
