The Shura Council of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan has expressed “deep dissatisfaction” with the extremely weak official Arab position in curbing the Israeli attacks on Palestinians in Gaza, Quds Press reported yesterday.

In a statement the Shura Council said it held Israel and its supporters responsible for the “moral, legal and humanitarian consequences” of their brutal attack on Gaza, describing it as a “desperate attempt to break the will of the valiant resistance, led by the Hamas movement and the Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades.”

It also called on the Jordanian government to severe relations with Israel, expel the Israeli ambassador from Amman, recall the Jordanian ambassador from Tel Aviv, and cancel the peace deal with the occupation state of Israel and all economic agreements which make Jordan “dependent on a brutal, treacherous, and immoral enemy that does not respect an agreement, nor fulfil an obligation.”

It also called for severing relations with Israel, expelling the Israeli ambassador from Amman, recalling the Jordanian ambassador from Tel Aviv, and cancelling the peace deal with the occupation state of Israel and all economic agreements which make Jordan “dependent on a brutal, treacherous, and immoral enemy that does not respect an agreement, nor fulfil an obligation.”

It also called for “restoring the compulsory military service system for young people, and forming and arming the popular army, in order to deter the occupation’s plans against Jordan, its regime, and people.”

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza yesterday announced the complete collapse of the health system in Gaza’s hospitals, confirming that 12 hospitals and 32 health centres are now out of service as fuel supplies have depleted.
