Almost 29,000 Lebanese people displaced amid clashes on Israeli border

The clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah have led to the displacement of nearly 29,000 Lebanese people, according to UN migration agency on Friday, Anadolu reports.

The United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM) stated that 28,965 people have left their homes near Israeli border, with the majority relocating to live with relatives in safe areas or renting houses through their own means.

In a statement on Oct. 23, the IOM reported that approximately 19,000 Lebanese people were displaced.

So far, 46 Hezbollah members and three Israeli soldiers have been killed in the clashes at the border since Oct. 8. Additionally, four civilians, including a journalist, lost their lives in Lebanon, and one civilian died in Israel.
